Question about 2000 Pontiac Grand Am GT
This year of Pontiac uses a sealed transmission, so there is no transmission dipstick, why GM choose to do this is beyond me. To check the fluid level you will find a fill pug under the car on the axle shaft output housing, remove the plug just above the transmission pan, with a hot transmission (at least 185F) you should be able to touch the fluid with your pinky.
