Well Jean it sounds like you are moving along fairly well on your own but there is one thing you might want to consider and thats the rad itself. You don't mention how old the rad might be but check to make sure the fins are not bent and/or they are in good shape.Look to see if its a bug graveyard and airflow through the rad is not being restricted. You might also want to look at replacing the water punp(depending on age). You don't say if the coolant level is dropping at all.I will give you the same advice that I give all my auto students,1) buy yourself a good set of tools or the best you can afford 2) get hold of a real manual for this car if you can, that is ,a mechanics manual or dealer manual.3) continue to educate yourself by taking a night course or continuing education course.4) get to know your local auto supply store, they have a lot of information that can help you out.5) ask lots of questions and be patient. I am going to give you my E.mail address so you can contact me directly if you have any additional guestions and I'll have a look around the school next week to see if we have a manual kicking around for this car we don't need anymore. Good Luck 67midget@ gmail.com

Where is the flasher fuse for a 1984 oldsmobile delta 88

It was not totally clear what you are trying to fix. Is it the turn signals or the hazard lights. Both can be referred to as "flashers".
The turn signals have an associated relay that may go bad...not necessarily the fuse.
A helpful to find the relay location is to turn on your signal lights and the relay will start clicking which will make it much easier to find

How ti fix time on 1984 delta 88

you have to take the radiator cover, radiator and lines, and the water pump off to get to the timing set. its a 3 piece set that comes with gaskets for it and the water pump. once u replace it, u should have a mechanic set the timing with a timing light.

1984 Olds Delta 88 307 over heats.

If you have an automatic transmission that is routed through your cooling system, and you've tried everything possible to correct overheating, your tranny may be on its way out. The problems your tranny may be having having operating normally could be effecting the engine temp.
THE other problem may be that you just need to replace your radiator cap. If that fails then check your fan to make sure that they are working. if that fails that it could be a bad head gasket and it needs to be replaced
