I have a 1999 nissan frontier with a 3.3 automatic 4x4. At idle the rpms are at about 1200 to 1400. At 60 mph the rpms are at 3200. Is this normal or is there something i can do to fix this?

There is no connection between the idle revs and revs at speed .The revs for 60 mph sound about right but the idle revs are controlled by the idle speed sensor and various other sensors Have the fault codes read Replace the faulty units with
genuine one because most aftermarket units are not set for OEM cpu units and are not completely compatible.

My car runs good for about ten miles but then when I am tring to pass someone and hit the gas the engine seams to die. It don't shut off just starts jumping. The Rpms are jumping between 2500 and 3000....

it is most likely not water in the tank. if it were water you would only notice this when you fuel gets low. chances are it is sensor like throttle position or mass air flow. does the check engine light come on? if it does, take it to your local auto parts store and have the code checked.

let your wife drive or slow down. Seriously, sounds like you have covered just about everything. Try increasing or decreasing your tire pressures a little just to see if it has any effect.

The RPM of Nissan Altima stays high when drive over 65 MPH.

No....the rpms differ from engine to engine and from manufacturer to manufacturer. RPM's are always higher at higher speeds.
