Check fuel pressure. Then check it its getting power and ground. If it gets power and ground, and the fuel pressure is low, its bad. Fuel pressure should be 55-62 psi

If you have that spider fuel system, that system is noted for problems. I'd use a gage and check proper fuel pressure. Also, the poppet valves can stick.

Where is the heater control valve 2000 siverado

Most heater control valves are up next to the firewall behind the engine. Look for coolant hoses running to that area.

2000 silverado will start but wont stay running just dies.

I also agree it sounds like a fuel pump issue. Its easiest to remove the box (6 bolts {need impact wrench} disconnect wires at plugs and disconnect gas filler hose) and lift box up. A hoist is easiest but 6 people can lift it easily. The fuel pump can easily then be replaced. Takes about 1 1/2 hrs. to do entire job this way and its so much easier!
Good Luck!

2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 Replace the fuel pump - ?

First check the fuel pump fuse in the fuse panel to make sure its not blown. Chances are that it is the fuel pump, that is a common problem with chevy trucks. The easiest way to access the fuel pump is to remove the bed of the truck from the frame. Good luck. dont forget to rate.

My 2000 chevy siverado is not getting power to the fuel pump. i put a new pump init and still nothing

There is a Fuel Sending Unit that Corresponds with the Fuel Pump. Not sure where on a 2000. On My 95' it was Inside the Under Hood Fuse Box, Had to replace a Relay swith too. My advice is to get a Haynes or Chilton Manual for your Truck. That will help you Further!
