Is this a DOHC motor? You have to remove the upper intake manifold.

How to change spark plugs on 2005 hunydai 350xg

  • I have a 2002 XG and they should be the same but the front 3 are easy but for the back 3 you'll need to take off the intake manifold so you will need a gasket kit for the manifold. if you are not that mechanically inclined u may want a mechanic to handle that. if u have a miss make sure it's not the ignition coils on top of the front 3 spark plugs. i made the mistake of replacing all of my spark plugs @180,000 miles to find out the miss was from one of my ignition coils.

Change spark plugs on a 2003 santa fe

That is what you have to do on a chrysler v-6, also-remove the intake manifold. Be sure and use a new gasket for the manifold. Also check if there is a holding bracket for the manifold on one side or the other, or both as on a chrysler.

Where are the freeze plugs on a 2000 ford tauraus 3.0 flex fuel engine

No, I don't think any engine has freeze plugs on the front of engine. They are on the side of the block, just under the exhaust manifold, usually 3 on each side. Freeze plugs are easy to replace as long as you can get to them easily.

Where can i find the spark plugs on a 2004 mazda mpv?

Changing the plugs on the 04 MPV is a pain.

The front three plugs are easy to get to - just remove the black plastic cover over the engin block(3 screws) and they're right there (but deeply recessed in the block).

But you have to remove the manifold to get to the back three plugs. and this kinda sucks. you will need a new manifold gasket set also....... I hope this helps

If its a 6 cylinder they should be on the sides of the motor when you stand in front of it in the outside of the heads.

I have a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe with the 6 cyl. engine. I wanted to change the spark plugs. I can get to the front ones easy enough, but the back ones appear to be under the intake manifold. How would I...

don't take the manifold off....... see if perhaps the window wiper dip tray will be enough room to access the rear not remove intake.

I need to replace an ignition coil and plug on my 04 Ford Escape. Is this a difficult task? Can someone provide instructions?

If you have a V6 and it's like my 2002 V6, it will depend on with plug/coil you need to replace. The front 3 are very easy to replace. For the back 3, you'll need to remove the upper intake manifold (get a gasket set from the parts store).
Assuming it's a COP system (Coil Over Plug), each plug has it's own coil. Unplug the wires from the coil. Remove the one bolt with an 8mm? socket. Pull the coil off the plug. Using the correct socket, remove the plug.
If you have to remove the manifold for the back 3 plugs/coils, that will be more complicated. I would recomend going to:
Add do a search for "intake manifold remove".
One of the first one's will have excellent instructions and photos.

Where do i found the sparg plugs on a ford freestar 2004

I'm going to assume that we are starting from scratch with little experience under the hood.

1: Find the valve cover at the front of the engine
2: Follow downward towards exhaust manifolds
3: You should see spark plug wires attached to the plugs beside each outlet of the exhaust manifold.

*The other 3 plugs will be on the back of the engine in the same location. Those plugs are essentially only accessible from under the vehicle*
