Never had this before this is a first on me but in daylight i would leave the lights on and take the shroud off the steering wheel to gain access then when they shut off i would check for power to the switch ,if no power then look at the fuses for burning and blackening on the connections,if the switch has power to it and no power into the light circuit then it a new switch which i think is the most likely ,can you smell burning or hot plastic small before they shut off ?? if so then its switch .But its a case of checking for what has power and to where along the line to locate the fault

Blowing my number 8 fuse

If you are saying the dash lights and parking lights are out, it could be the headlight switch or a ground problem.

Headlight switch is stuck so we pulled the wires to shut them off. we plugged them back in and now they dont work

Check 40 amp fuse--probably in engine compartment relay box. If fuse is good, switch may be burned up.

1993 dodge dakota fuse for headlights where is it

The fuse panel box is to the right of the glove box with the glove box door opened or beneath the instrument panel (dashboard) on 1989-93 models. For 1994-96 Pick-ups, it is beneath the knee blocker panel.

For Headlights check Fuse 20Amp.
