Most of this can be gently pried off. For the parts that won't, there is likely a screw. Most should just pry off.

How do I replace the blower switch in the dash without breaking up the dash

Are you sure that you need a blower switch? There are other items that are prone to going out before the switch like the resistor or the motor, but if it is the switch you first remove the large piece of trim that surrounds the radio, heater controls, and instrument cluster. This will reveal the screws that hold the heater control head into the dash.

How to replace an ignition switch 2000 chevy s10

You need to remove the upper and lower steering column covers and you'll find the switch beneath them. Covers are held in place by screws [torx head I believe] that come in from the bottom. They aren't real obvious so don't force anything to come apart. I see a few of these switches fail and usually they cause a group of items to quit working such as the blower motor or part of the dash or you may get erratic dash indicator lamps that come on and go off. You shouldn't have to remove the steering wheel unless you are removing the actual key cylinder itself. Once you get to the switch check the connector for any discolored or melted areas. If you find any you may have to replace the harness end [pretty rare though] Good luck!

I would try to replace the switch. I believe that chevy had a bunch of problems with the 4x4 switch. I had a message on the display the something was defective with the 4 wheel drive, and it just ended up being the darn switch. Hope this helps.

Rheostat (rotary switch) is faulty. Take it apart, and clean with electrical contact degreaser, or pencil eraser and re-try.
