There are three screws in the splash guard that are very hard to turn. Are you sure that this has to be remove.

I'm sorry but you are wrong, you are not a guru. There are two opening on a big metal plate that protects the oil pan. One of those opening there is a bolt, and that was it. My son told me that and he was right. At the beginning I thought it was, but it was to tight so I didn't loosen it and then you threww me completely off by telling me that it was under the splash guard. Case solved, not by Fixya, but by my son.

If you check the picture below it shows you where the drain plug on the sump is, you need to remove the splash guard under the vehicle to see it though.

The drain plug is on the side of the oil sump, the oil sump is directly under the engine which is at the front of the vehicle, yes the bolts holding the splash maybe tight but you do need to remove it so that you can access the sump bolt to release the oil from the oil pan.

I wasn't incorrect, a splash guard or sump guard are one in the same things, just depends on what you want to call it.
Also on these models some come with the access hole to the sump bolt or not but it depends on which country they were assembled in etc.
But at least you got it sorted.

Where is the oil drain plug on a 2002 BMW 325i

It is located on the oil pan, please be advised the oil pan is also the casting that houses the front differential, and the engine oil drain is the hex nut furthest to the rear of of the pan . You will need a 17mm wrench to remove the hex nut . After you drain the oil, DO NOT over tighten the plug . The proper torque is 25 newton/meters or about 20 foot/pounds

Either the filter isn't screwed all way in or there is dirt on the sealing surface that prevents a complete seal - take the filter out and clean everything in sight.

Where is oil drain plug on 2005 V8 SRX caddilac

crawl under the car with a drain contaner and a cresent wrench. Under the engine is the oil pan. The drain plug is located on the bottom end or slightly above on the side. It may be covered in dirt so scrap around. It has to be there. No other place for the oil to come out. It is possable it is a plug type with a large allen wrench hole or a squar hole that a ratchet will fit in to but most of them it is a bolt type. Don't forget to change the oil filter when changing oil. Let me know if this helps, The Raz

I need to change my oil and filter on a BMW 745I 2002, does anyone know how to do it.

The oil filter is located underneath the vehicle next to the drain plugand accessed through a removable trim cover. If I remember correctly the drain plug is a 7mm allen. The oil filter has a drain plug in it to predrain before removing the filter cap. I do not recommend removing the plug because it strips out sometimes. Instead you need to use a socket and loosen the cap slowly. Your engine will take 8qts bmw syn 5w30 oil. I like the factory oil because it is proven extended life oil. When reinstalling the drain plug make sure to replace the crush washer. Also, make sure to replace the oring on the oil filter cap and lube before reinstalling.

Depends on the engine, if its a M62, its under the hood, torwards the front drivers side. 9e6fcd7.jpgIf it a N62, it is on the underside of the vehicle, next to the oil drain plug. Its the black plastic housing with a 6mm allen bolt in it(thats used to drain the oil out before removal)25e2e14.png
