2002 SEDONA and it just started over heating to red line recently. when hot we shut motor off we noticed upper and lower radiator hoses are colapased. we changed out the thermostat and radiator cap.

Sedona isn't prone to overheating except at times of coolant loss which older models are prone to due to corrosion of the steel pipes supplying the rear heater.

I suggest you check those pipes thoroughly.

Cost to replace upper radiator hose 2002 Jag s-type Had oil changed and was told inspection revealed upper radiator hose leaking. replacement $360.00 plus tax. I have had no signs of thermastate...

it could be a weeping leak......that has not become so bad that the coolant is causing air to get into the system and run hot....the hose is about 130 bucks and about 1.5 hours to change...then coolant is 20.00 per liter from dealer so 360 is pretty close to the actual charges. But open the hood and let the car reach temperature and look for the hose running up the back of the from top to bottom.and see if you smell any coolant.

Need to change the thermostat on my 93 lincoln town car but can't find the location where is it located?

For 1993 Lincoln Town Car 4.6L EFI 8cyl the Thermostat is located: under hood, center, upper engine area, engine end of upper radiator hose, mounted in coolant outlet housing.

Hope this helps (reemember to rate this answer).

My 2004 dodge intrepid is overheating how to git

Remove the top hose, unbolt the thermostat housing, remove old themostat and install new unit with new gasket. Replace top hose and fill with coolant. Be sure to re-check the coolant level after start up, beore you drive it anywhere, to eliminate any air pockets in the coolant.

Coolant leak from upper radiator hose where it meets engine

thermistate housing is the place you refer to it fuction is to hold a thermastate to open and close water flow at 150 to 190 degree according to car spectif the thermaste sticks it causes overheating and can blow the thermastate gasget, the tole cost is about 30$ at most for the thermastate and many other things can cause a car to over heat and cause a hose leak and somtimes it is simple to just tighten the hiose clamp at the thrmastate and problem sovled see a water leak causes the radiator to lose presure and thus with out a sealed tight water cooling system the boiling point of water is lower and thus the car over heats when in doubt stop by the local gas station and have a tech take a quick look as it could be simple as the hose clamp difficult as a therm, astate but do not let it go to warp a head gasket as this blown headgasket is what is the end results of running a car to hot

My 1999 Cadillac Eldorado north star is over heating, how can i change the thermostat? where is it located?

The thermostat is usually located on the engine end of the upper radiator hose.

Drain the radaitor of coolant, remove the upper radiator hose from the housing.
Usually a couple of bolts hold the housing in place, once the bolts are removed, seperate the housing from the engine, you should now see the thermostat, you will also discover it has a gasket to be replaced at the same time. make sure the surfaces are clean, use some gasket cement to hold the new gasket in place. reassemble the unit, reinstall rad hose, and refill radiator.

Hope this is od some help.

No heat in my 1995 hyndia accent

The heater core is blocked. With any luck, you may be able to reverse the heater hoses. Be super careful not to get too wild as it is very easy to mess up the pipes or the connections! Also, you may try to flush it out with house pressure water. After it is now pumping out the heat, replace the coolant. Frankster016

215 is not overheating. Does it keep getting hotter the faster you go? Does it cool off when slowing down or at idle? Does the Fan clutch or electric fan come on? When the engine is this hot.
