On 5.2L it is on drivers side, on the very bottom/rear of the radiator. I had to remove a black plastic shield that was covering access to it

I can not fine the plug to drain / flush the radiator on A 1994 jeep cherokee

THE RADIATOR DRAIN TAP "PETCOCK" FOR THE 94 JEEP CHEROKEE IS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE RADIATOR - THOUGH TO BE BRUTALLY HONEST YOU WOULD BE BETTER JUST REMOVING THE BOTTOM HOSE TO DRAIN THE RADIATOR AS THE TAP/PETCOCK HAS A TENDENCY TO SNAP IN THESE OLDER MODEL JEEPS - IT DID WITH MY 96 JGC & IT COST ME A NEW RADIATOR TO THEN "FIX" THE PROBLEM.

I can't locate the ac / condenser drain plug on 2004 grand cherokee limited. looked every where.

The drain plug is at the bottom of the radiator, close by the lower radiator hose. If you have a radiator without the drain plug, disconnect the radiator lower hose (radiator side) to drain the radiator. Be sure to connect it back together after you flush the system, and before you top it off.

I have a 1995 Jeep cherokee country..I need to know how to drain water out of the radiator so I can put in antifreeze.

on the bottem of the Radiator there is a drain plug (screw) it will drain the whole radiator so you will need to refill it again. it is best to drain the whole thing because if yoo don't the water could crack your radiator.

Where is the radiator drain plug located on my 1997 Jeep Cherokee Country 4X4. The only plug I have located is on the side oh the radiator and is almost impossible to get to.

You can usually get to it by removing the front grille. (just a few screws)
I usually ignore the drain as after you get to them, half don't work.
Fastest way of draining is to remove the lower hose from the radiator. It comes out fast so don't do it hot and have a catch pan there or you will make a mess. Most times you can get to it easily by removing the air filter box (two bolts inside bottom).

Where is the drain plug for the radiator

Should be a drain **** at the bottom of the radiator that unscrews out. It looks like a wing nut has been welded to a bolt on the end of it. Another way to do this is just pull off the bottom hose.

Drain radiator

How easy is it to remove lower rad hose? I've reverted to that more than once rather than fight with some of those drain plugs & their neat locations.

Radiator

The radiator drain plug is on the bottom right or left of the radiator facing the engine. On my PT Cruiser, it is on the driver's side.

I need to drain my radiator on a 2002 jeep grand cherokee

On many of these, the drain is on the right front of the radiator, sometimes requiring removal of a small panel in the grille or the entire grille. The ones I've serviced, after geting to the drain I've found that it dosen't turn. It is far easier to ignore the drain altogether and remove the lower hose at the radiator. Don't do this on a hot engine unless you like hot antifreeze baths! (I don't)
Good luck

Changing the thermastat 2001 jeep grand cherokee

Hi,

As in most designs, the radiator drain plug would be at the lowest part of the radiator. However, in some instances, it would not be readily accessible due to some other components such as a skid plate, fan cover brackets and others. An alternative is to loosen the lower radiator hose (radiator end) which should serve the same purpose.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
