Question about 2006 Honda Odyssey

Open Question

2006 Honda Odyssey. Recently Check Engine caution light came on and we noticed that the ECO light was no longer coming on. I can tell it is no longer going to the 3-cylinder conserve mode. After 4-5 days or so, light went out and ECO light started working again. Another week or so later, engine light came back on and now has been on for about a week; ECO light (and 3-cylinder mode) no longer working. What do I need to do to fix this? Would like to know what I am getting myself into as I live in Germany and taking to a Honda Dealer here will be extremely expensive. Can I just drive it this way for 9 months until I take the car back to the states?

I've got an 08 4cyl and it doesn't really have the vibration unless its really cold. Usually if I give it about 30 seconds...when the rpms start to come down, its barely noticeable.

SOURCE: Our 2005 Honda Odyssey had a check engine light / misfire

When a cylinder mis-fires there is a reason. The dealer should have told you that. Most likely you have a fouled out spark plug. Which means you need new spark plugs and maybe wires. All this would be covered in a standard tune up. Once the bad spark plug is replaced, the computer will quit registering a mis-fire. Please give good ratings, they meen a lot to us.... Thank you

SOURCE: tcs light and engine check light on my 2000 honda odyssey

I had the same code/symptoms a few weeks ago. Dealer did a nice job checking through all the details. Replaced the egr too, but no improvement. Finally found one cylinder not firing correctly (not the same pressure as the other cylinders.) Dealer did a value clean/adjustment, for about $250, and the problem has been gone for about a month now. We are also getting about 15% better mileage.

Hope this helps.

2005 Honda Odyssey Engine check engine light is on, ECO light is not working. What could be wrong? How much can the damages be?

You'll need to have someone check the computer for trouble codes to proceed. Once you have the codes you can research the causes.

Multi cylinder misfire , check engine light stays on and at cruise speed when the ECO light should come on there is a roar from the engine . Its 2006 Honda Odyesse with 69000 miles

Take it to an auto parts chain store that will do a diagnostic scan for free. If the check engine light has come on it will have set a code in the computer and they can tell you what it needs.

I have a 2006 honda odyssey. Recently, I have found water coming from the latch when I open the door and can hear water in the hatch door. I cannot tell how the water is getting in. Any thoughts?

when you wash your car the high pressure water will enter but, drain holes are punched into the bottom of all the doors/hatches and, must not be blocked. Please clean the drain holes.

2002 Honda Odyssey TCS light comes on after driving approx 1 mile

There are several things that will turn the check engine light and TCS light on .If you get the code I can tell you exactly what the problem is . On your year i see transmission problems as well as EGR problems. If you go to any large auto parts store they will check the code for free or a very small fee.

ECO light on at low speeds

Yes, that is completely normal.   The cylinder deactivation feature is designed to activate based on a combination of throttle position, and engine load.  It really has nothing to do with the speed of the vehicle.
Enjoy your ride!
