WHEN I STEP ON GAS, IT VIBRATES THEN SLOWLY TAKES

Take no chances and change the fluid and filter on the van. If that does not correct the problem then you will need to take it to a transmission shop for repairs. Hope this will help you.

Transmission not leaving first gear

SOunds like the linkage needs adjusting. If it don't catch until it is in first gear, that is why it isn't shifting. Hopefully adjusting the linkage will allow it to catch in drive and then you will shift fine.

Good Luck

Shifting when warm

take your s-10 to a reputable trans' shop NOW!!
you have an internal problem,BUT if you'r lucky,it may just be the "range switch"on the side of the trans(hair dryer needed to heat the "goo"-sealer on the harness plug)

the trans' is in "limp(default)mode, just to keep you moving!!
driving it this way for a month WILL destroy the transmission!!
