Here are the major components for the ABS system. The most common problem I see is the wheel bearing becoming loose. The wheel speed sensor is located in the wheel bearing.

SOURCE: hazards and blinkers not working

There are separate fuses for the turn signals and blinkers, but you should check both of them just to see if they're good.

You may have a burnt out turn signal bulb as well. I know that this sounds like an obvious answer, but a single bulb can sometimes disable the entire system because of the way that some flashers operate.

You could also have a defective turn signal/hazard light flasher. This is located under the dash board on the driver's side between the steering column and the door. You have to remove the sound insulation/kick panel (the cover on the bottom of the dash board) to reach the flasher (it is easy to remove - I don't think you even need tools).

SOURCE: 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP / Multi-function Switch

i have the sameproblem. Dealer part was quoted to me at $510.00. All after market parts stores were $350- 450. Try moving the emerg. flasher button while you step on the brakes and someone else watches the lights. I jammed paper beside the button and they work until I can fix it.I had to order the multi-function switch. and you have to pull the air bags to replace it.

Parking lights flash when car is off 2004 pontiac grand am

2 things I would check on this would be try cycling your hazard switch on and off a few times see if that changes the problem because your tsignals run through the hazard switch , if that changes what happens then replace hazard switch, next would be turn signal relay a bad relay can cause lights to stay on

You have a bad multifunction switch ie. turn signal switch. poor design. easy to replace.
remove the cover off the steering column- three or four screws from bottom
two or three screws hold the turn signal switch, plus two plugs
when installing watch to make sure you get the horn button pushed back in the switch, as not to bend anything.
Good luck

Clicking from hazard switch 2002 grand am

I have a 2002 also and I got a service letter in the mail in 2006, saying that there is an issue with the hazard switch. Call your Dealers Service Center and they should take care of it for you at no cost. I am taking mine in next week for the same issue and also the front rotors are warped again (after the 2nd set of rotors have been put on) and there is a service letter on that also (nov 08).

Good luck.
