Open one of the rear doors of the LS. Position yourself on your knees in the back seat, facing the rear deck or rear dash.
Remove the cover from the high-mount brake light assembly, by hand. Pull the cover toward the front of the vehicle. Do not pull extremely hard, or you will break the clips that mount through the deck from the trunk.
Pull the old light bulbs out of the high-mount assembly. Wrap the new bulbs in a paper tower prior to picking them up. Insert new bulbs into the assembly, by hand. Do not touch the bulb lenses with your hands directly.
Install the high-mount cover onto the rear deck and push the cover toward the rear glass to lock it in place.
Remove the two bolt covers on the rear pillar by prying on the bottom edge with a flat-tip screwdriver. Remove the bolts with a Phillips head screwdriver, and remove the light assembly from the rear pillar. Determine which of the two bulbs is burned out: turn signal or brake/taillight. Remove the socket by turning it one-quarter turn counterclockwise. Remove the bulb by pulling it straight out of its socket. Push the new bulb straight into the socket until it bottoms. Test the lights to make sure the new bulb is working. Put the socket back into the light assembly, and turn it clockwise to lock it in place. Install the rear light assembly in the rear pillar. Tighten the two bolts. Snap the bolt covers into position. Hope this helps you.
