Question about 1995 Chevrolet Lumina
The thermostat is under the neck where the top radiator hose hooks to the engine. Take out the 2 bolts, then remove the neck. The thermostate is right there, just pull it out. When you go to replace it, make sure you clean both surfaces of the neck and engine first. Put in the new gasket and thermostat. Use a little silicon. Not alot. Just a little bit. Usually the thermostat is marked as this side up. If you put it in upside down, it won't work.

The ease way to locate the thermostat, fallow the upper radiator hose to the engine, where it connect, inside of that housing is the thermostat,if you notice it1s just down the exaust tube, when the engine is cold, take the hose off, there is going to come a lot of water out, remember to have somthing beneat under the car to catch the water, then take the housing off, then you are going to see the thermostat, take it off, when you are going to put the new one, notice that there is a little hole whit a pin, this one has to go on the top,and for securyti you can put a little of glue on the thermostat to holded in to the housing, that way wont fell at the moment you are instaling it,onece you are finish installig it,there is a purge in that same thermostast huosing or on a tubing just on top of the water pump, open it,so all the air comes out when you are filling the water in to the engine, close it when you see water come out at the moment that you are filling the water.

that would be a problem Heater core leaks because the stupid plastic nozzles they use and hoses can crack to. Then you would have low pressure. Or if new thermostat is stuck open.
