I have a 04 f-250 that has a intermitting miss after start up for about 2 mins i've changed plugs/boots and no help. I've had to dealer injectors all good coils all good ecm not setting any codes. any one...

The COP Ignition coils are not good

They may not show up on cylinder misfire
counts, at start up or on a road trip, but after
7 years they all fail & act up when they want

My advice--learn the technology & stay away from a
dealer,you sort of see why

Do not need codes to have vehicle problems

I have walked new coils on fords, because the professional
tools don't see all the coil issues, when they act up

On start up you should the PO300 & 316 codes on scan tool,
based on what your saying

Ford Escape 3.0 no power to #4 coil

Need to change the coil. Is likely the problem. Sometimes that means replacing the whole coil pack.

Need to change the rear coil/spark plugs on Ford escape 2006. Need engine diagram to do it.

Need to remove upper intake manifold

You can see the coils on the front or left bank

I'm referring to a V6

1,2,3 right side of motor -next to firewall
4,5,6 left side of motor-next to radiator

If you have a v6 do the 3 coils while your there & intake is off
& save them for some time you need them on the left side

We have no diagrams

A code PO301 thru PO306 does not mean a coil is bad

Watch" Wayne"on Real Fixes Real Fast ---on You Tube

You get the plugs & coils from Rock Auto.Com unless
you like spending more at the parts store

Spark Plugs--every 3 years
O2 Sensors--front ones only--100,000 miles
Gas filter & Air Filter -3 years
Trans & Power Steering Fluids -3 years or failure isn't far away

Try to use th OE Brand Plugs on a ford
The tip configuration etc is important
Because it show ten plugs that fit they may
not work well

I would have the motor checked with professional
scan tool software in Mode #06 & look for cylinder
misfire on a road test of 20 miles, before I did any
of the work your going to do. That may show you some
failing coils. Codes are next to uselss
I have had to walk new coils form one cyl to the next
even when the scanner didn't pick up anything

Was it running BEFORE you changed everything?

If so you may have connected the ignition wires in the wrong order.

Check the plug gaps, sometimes even new ones are off.

Double check that the wires are solidly mounted to the plugs and that the plugs tip ( usually a screw on nipple ) is tight.

Make sure the wires to the coil are in their correct place meaning positive and negative have specific spots.

Make sure your cap is also mounted tightly.

Get a Haynes manual it will help with all the specifics.
