Re: SRT8 randomly not starting
Sounds like the alarm feature is messed up if you can press the unlock feature on it and it works, or it's just a coincidence. no matter, the car should be under warranty if within the mileage and time frame, i would make the dealer fix the problem for free. Its their issue.

If the starter motor is close to the exhaust and no heat shield then probably starter is getting to hot to work. I had this problem on mine not a Mazda tho, u can either wrap the exhaust which is what I did or get a heat shield to cover stater motor
It is difficult to diagnose random problems and it is possible that the service dealer fixed the fault without knowing it. IN checking the mechanic may have pushed wire connections to make sure they were tight, moved the harness to get to the ECM and in doing so fixed the fault. fault codes only read sensors that are out of parameters set by the CPU in the ECM and there are a multitude of other faults that are not recorded
I would get the battery checked,if they fail they make the car do all sorts of weird things. Also get the earths of the battery and other looms checked. If a computer or electrical item isnt earthed properly, that too can cause odd things
2007 GMC Yukon will not start in cold weather. When I turn the key over
the lights/dash controls come on, but the engine does not turn over at
all. Nothing. Put a new battery in and still does it. It is a random
occurance. Would not start for two days this week so I had it towed to
the dealership and the next morning it starts without the service dept
doing anything??? Bring it home and two days later it does it again???
I think its your alternator or a sensor that is causing the problem, I would get a diagnostic check done and usually the codes narrow it down to the main problem.
good luck i hope its nothing major
