Check all of the fuses on your fuse panel under the hood. Pull them out and clean them and put them back in unless you notice that one is blown, then replace it.

My 89 civic lx keeps blowing the battery fuse everytime I connect the battery

My first guess would be a short inside the alternator, so if you have replaced it, look for a shorted wire in the harness.
Disconnect the wires from the alternator and everything connected to the battery, then connect one at a time until the fuse blows.
Could be a problem with the starter solenoid too.

1994 honda civic 1.4 the alternator fuse keeps blowing as soon as the engine turns over and after a while the car cuts out and the fuse needs replaced to start the car again i was told there could be a...

There's a good chance you have a short circuit inside the alternator. Remove the wires [ disconnect the negitive terminal while diconnecting them and put something to insulate the wires] and the fuse and try to start it, if it runs, - then you have the culprit = replace it. NOTE: make sure the battery has a good charge when testing, as if the battery almost discharged it will not run for long anyway.

Electrical problem- horn and stop light fuse keeps blowing

With the fuse blowing like that very likely you have short to ground that is one of the wires to the horn or stop lights is making contact with the body of the car.
As for the gear problem, there is a solenoid that is responsible for unlocking the gear shifter when you step on the brake with the key on the run position even if not running.
