Question about 2004 BMW 7 Series
I solved a similar problem at a friend's 745i when, after driving fast (230-250 km / h) gearbox put NOTPROGRAM and not sorted all speeds. Always started the car up for a long time and no problem! In my work I was looking at diagnosis and the problem was overheating of oil and therefore NOT PROGRAM is. After the oil has cooled to normal outside air temperature (in the summer when the heat is to wait 5-8h) car was driven normal. Mesh failure was clogged oil cooler. Try to focus on temperature sensors in the gearbox if the error is not from them. Unfortunately, without a diagnosis tools about this problem does not resolve your problem, and only she can answer for you
