With that model, it runs off the timing belt, so you will have to diassemble the front of the motor, and remove timing belt to gain access to be able to remove ........

My Gould pump has been working fine for 2 months now has stopped pumping. Now when you turn it on it hums for 30 seconds and then kicks off. It has water in it so don't know what the problem is.

see if you can turn the pump shaft by hand (hub at the end of the shaft. If you can then the pump may be ok. check for idler pulley seized . Any item with bearings that spins easily will be ok. Check that the power steering pump turns by hand.
Pumps will not seize if they are not turning.water pump bearings will produce a deep grumbling rattly noise when idling if they are failing.

My water coolant is dripping from a small hole situated near the water pump , what is the problem pls


What you are describing is the beginning of water pump failure. That little hole is called the weep hole and if coolant comes out that means the pump is failing.

Water Pump ---Yes-- if it leaks your doing the job twice
If the pump seizes your throwing off the new belt &
then bending the valves & ruining the motor

Water pump noise


If you are sure it's the water pump, then the bearing is wearing out. It will soon seize or begin leaking. It will need to be replaced.
Google search Replace waterpump then your vehicle model. You should be able to easyily find basic instructions to do the job.

I had the head gasket replaced but its doing the same thing it was doing before still running hot and now it wont turn over and start


It sounds as though your head gasket wasn't (at least not the only) the problem. If it won't turn over, it sounds as though the pistons are seized. It is entirely possible you have a cracked block. It might also be that your water pump stopped working and caused the block to overheat (although a broken water pump usually leaks antifreeze/water all over the place). Depending on how long you ran the car hot (with little or no water), that engine might be completely unrepairable, especially if it is seized up. You would need to take it to a shop and have them look at it to be sure.

Leaking anti freeze from water pump


the water pump has 1 or 2 weep holes on it when the seals go out the antifreeze will leak from them holes replace it and no leak. get back to me with a make and model and year for replacement info.

85 f250 diesel won't start when hot.Pour a cup of ice water on injector pump and it starts everytime????why


Sounds like the injector pump gets to hot and seizes up. it may just be an old pump. I was told years ago to put 1 quart of Automatic tranny fluid in a full tank of diesel to help lube the injector pump. I did that to my 1995 powerstroke at 130,00 miles when I had to replace the injector pump. And I have over 500,000 miles on the engine now and have not had to replace the pump since. With the water pump removed, you have to heat the body of the water pump. There is a O-Ring that seizes the tube into the water pump. Sometimes you can just loosen the bolt and heat the pump with it still bolted up the engine. Use some pliers to wiggle the tube while pulling the tube. When you put it back together replace the o-ring and add some rtv sealant around the o-ring too. This helps the seizing problem. Hope this helps
