I GET THE CODE P 1594 ON A 1999 GRAND CHEROKEE

The P1594 means that the battery voltage sense input is above the target. This is most probably a problem with the alternator. I would take it to a shop where they can test the alternator for you.

Dash lights are out

You have all the fuse locations. I have seen some that after radio was put in did that. usually it turns out that re-grounding the dash or using different power supplies for the radio has corrected it. otherwise, I'd check the light switch and make sure it's OK.

check the wire harness where the door hinges are located. between both hinges there is a rubber boot, sometimes the wiring gets frayed and a short develops in this area;between the door and the dash, Also wires inside the door will shortt out. i hope this helps you

I have a 99 jeep cherokee sport will not start

Seems to be a chronic problem with crank position sensors... On yours it is tested between b&c terminals and should have no continuity there. (should show an open circuit if good)

1999 Jeep Sport will not start

It could be your Crank Shaft Sensor. That's what it was on my 99 Cherokee Sport the first time that happened.

1994 jeep cherokee sport, rear dome light will not come on when hatchback is opened. Works fine if I switch on all dome lights (front & rear) via turning headlight switch. I am assuming there is some...

Look for a button like thing sticking out of frame where door closes, or even on door frame for same. May even look like a wedge shaped black button, spring loaded, try moving it to see. That will be your switch that turns on the light when open.

99 cherokee radio problem

Hi,

Either the radio's output ICs are fried or speaker/wires needs to be checked.

Incidentally, there are some higher end versions that has an Infinity Amplifier (P/N: 56038407AD) powering the speakers and not the radio (alone). If so, this amp needs a trigger on from the head unit to work and therefore, the trigger wire/connection must be checked. Otherwise, it may likewise require an internal check.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
