If the car is warm and its probably a bad heater coil the other options are the the water is not cisculating due to a stuck thermostat or water pump is not working but these problems usually will cause the car to run hot also if it not running hot then your haerter coil is not working.

No heat in 1996 grand cherokee

you could be low on antifreeze/water fluid or you have a blockage on your heater core.. I have a problem with my heater core being plugged.. Try disconnect the hoses to the heater core and see if water will flow through it or you can use air to blow through it.. Good luck

1996 Saturn SL, Heater fan runs fine but no heat. Starts with a tad of heat then blows cold. Any ideas?

The plenum may be cracked, check for air blowing out where it should not, or the blender door is not opening, a cable sheath may have popped loose, or the heater core itself is clogged with leaf debris blocking air flow..

Heater blowing slightly warm air, but certainly not hot enough for pa winters. what should i try to fix first?

You may have to replace your heater core . Heater cores are kinda like you outside ac unit and if you stand by it you can feel all the hotter air blowing from it to the cooler atomosphere!!!! So basicly your heater core are alumminum fins that your blower pushes recycled heated motor air through', and into the cab . Maybe the blower is weak . Check your fuses and hoses!!!!

1996 grand am 3.1 wet floor on drivers side?

Either your AC drain is clogged or the heater core is failing. Does your heat work well and blow hot air? If so, it's likely a clogged AC drain (although a bad heater core could be the issue). If it does not, your heater core is shot (replacement involves removal of the dashboard).

1996 grand marquis heater function does not work. When you select heat the unit blows cold air.

might be a n air lock easily fixed minimal expense

open reservoir cap easiliy and release presurre it will create a burping effect... this is a repeated progress that will get the air and steam out of the lines\

wear gloves for sure and keep face away from the reservoir in case it boil so over ,,,,hade two similar cars used as cabs thats how we fixed it
