I have a 95 Nissan maxima and smoke and gas coming out my tail pipe I was told that it was my was fuel regulator all I smell is gas when i my start car can some body plz help me find the problem plz

It would be unlikely gas is coming out of the tailpipe. The fuel regulator can leak internally and externally. If there is an internal leak with the regulator, the vehicle will be overfueled and will run poorly if at all with black smoke out the tailpipe and most likely the check engine light on/flashing. You may experience a fuel smell. If the regulator is leaking external, there will be a definate fuel smell. You may also have an injector or injector seal leaking as well. Depending on the engine size 4 or 6 cyl, it can be hard to spot an injector leak. However, a fuel p;ressure regulator can easily be located and checked for a fuel leak.

95 chevy s10 with a vortec v6. has a mis

The Vortec 4.3 liter V6 is notorious for problems with the fuel injector. One injector solenoid feeds all 6 injector nozzles, and sometimes one whole side of the engine will not get any fuel.See if you can smooth out the engine by spraying some starting fluid into the throttle body(remove the rubber hose from the throttle body). If this doesn't seem to make a difference, you may just be dealing with an ignition problem(cap/rotor/wires/carbon tracks on the spark plug insulators).

Injectors aren't working

Cleaning injectors is a process best left to a professional with a bench setup to properly flow and clean them. In a pinch for a low cost short term fix you can do the following:

1. Remove the + battery terminal.
2. Remove the fuel rail retaining bolts and the injectors will pull out of their seat in the head.
3. Remove the injector plug and simply pull them out. Look into the input side and you should be able to see if it is relatively clean. Sometimes they are completely clogged on older vehicles.
4. Use Seafoam injector cleaner and spray into the input while pulsing the nozzle in and out until it is clear. Also spray some into the nozzle end.
5. Repeat for all injectors, let them sit for an hour to 24 hours, then repeat the cleaning with the injector cleaner to force out any residual.
6. You can also energize the relay with 12V and spray through the nozzle, but this is difficult without having a pressurized system.
7. Reinstall (preferably with new O-rings) and enjoy.

I did this recently on my son's 1999 Mitsubishi Mirage due to 2 cylinders not firing at all and it runs like a champ. Cost me $10.99 from Autozone. You should also replace the fuel filter at this time.

Torque specs for 1993 7.3L diesel injector

please rate, thanks

  1. Thoroughly clean nozzle bore in cylinder head before reinserting nozzle assembly with Nozzle Seat Cleaner T83T-9527-A. Pay particular attention to seating surface, in order that no small particles of metal or carbon will cause assembly to be cocked or permit blow-by of combustion gases. Blow out particles with compressed air.

  1. Remove protective cap and install a new copper gasket on nozzle assembly with a small dab of Multi-Purpose Grease D0AZ-19584-AA (ESR-M1C159-A) or equivalent. NOTE: Anti-seize compound or equivalent should be used on nozzle threads to aid installation and future removal.
ani_caut.gif CAUTION: Be careful that nozzle tip does not strike against recess wall.
  1. Install nozzle assembly into cylinder head nozzle bore.
  1. Tighten nozzle assembly to 47 Nm (35 ft-lb).
  1. Remove protective caps from nozzle assemblies and fuel lines.
  1. Install leak-off tees and lines as an assembly by lowering onto nozzles. Connect clip and hose to fuel return elbow at pump. Install line to retaining clamps. NOTE: Install two new O-ring seals for each fuel return tee.
  1. Connect high pressure fuel line(s) and tighten to specification using Fuel Line Nut Wrench T83T-9396-A.
  1. Start engine.
  1. If necessary, purge high-pressure fuel lines of air by loosening connector one-half to one turn and cranking engine until bubble-free fuel flows from connection. ani_caut.gif WARNING: KEEP EYES AND HANDS AWAY FROM FUEL SPRAY. FUEL SPRAYING FROM PARTIALLY OPENED CONNECTION UNDER HIGH PRESSURE CAN PENETRATE THE SKIN AND CAUSE INFECTION. MEDICAL ATTENTION SHOULD BE PROVIDED IMMEDIATELY IN THE EVENT OF SKIN PENETRATION.
  1. Check for fuel leakage at high-pressure connections.

How do you check injectors on a 95 blazer 4.3 engine?

the injectors are under the upper intake plenum. they are not indavidual part but a plastic injector assembly the individual tubes to each cylinder are little poppet valves.this entire thing comes only as an assembly from a parts store or the dealer.yhe can not be tested individually.if only one cylinder is misfirring you may be able to attempt to clean it out with spray carb cleaner and reassemle to se if that worked.if it roccurs replace it.

Fuel injectors spraying to much gas

to be honest, with an 89, all you can do is replace the injector. how an injector works is there is a small amount of current that is run to a coil around a rod (if you are unaware, this produces magnetic fields). the magnetic field produced pulls up what is usually a small ball, allowing fuel to go through the tip of the injector nozzle. all you can do to fix this is to buy different injectors.

just a question..why do you think they are spraying too much fuel? because it may just be that you have excessive fuel pressure and your fuel pressure regulator is bad. hit me back.

I have a chevy van g 20 with a 350 engine. It drive fine at time but it will start loosing pressure and it turns off and start chocking. I placed in in the computer and it said it was the fuel pump. I...

loosing fuel pressure, have you replace fuel pressure regulator, if the regulator is bad, it will have not enough pressure in between the injectors and the regulator. the fuel regulator maintain a proper pressure so the injectors will spray the correct amount of fuel every time the computer tells its to. weak pressure will cause injectors not to spray correct amount of fuel into the intake although will cause your engine to starve for fuel just like you have explained. the parts cost around 135 bucks and easy to replace.

All four injectors stopped working

Try the carb cleaner fluid by mixing it with the fuel or spray it at the intake. After cranking the engine a few times, wait for a while and if the engine refuses to start, get some young men to try & start it by rolling the vehicle & turn on the ignition(i.e. if it has has manual gear shifting) till the carb cleaner has got a chance of forced into the injector to clean the nozzles. If this fails then it(injectors) cleaned by maul removal & cleaning/replacing the injector nozzle tips by a qualified mechanic....sodeep
