This is on a 2001 Chevy Corvette with 70,000 gentle miles. One or the other of the front daytime running lights (turn signals) keep burning out. The recepticle (connection plugs) looks burned, and the bulb glass keeps breakging, not just the filament wire. This has happened 6 times this month. Everytime the bulbs are changed it works for that first drive, no matter how far I go. The very next time I start the car they blow out. Should I replace the Wiring Harness (Yikes), use another type of bulb, or go with a set of LEDs. The bulbs are standard replacement yellow GM turn signal bulbs.

Where is the DLR module located on 07 pontiac montana sv6

DLR module ???? DRL - daytime running lamps , doesn't have a DRL module. Why do you want to know that ? I see it coming , your going too replace it to see if it fixes the problem your having with the light's ? Without testing the circuit's . Do yourself a favor an take it to a qualified repair shop , before you make thing's worse .
Daytime Running Lamps (DRL)
The ambient light sensor is a light sensitive transistor that varies its signal to the body control module (BCM) in response to changes in the outside ambient light level. Any function or condition that turns ON the headlamps will cancel daytime running lamp (DRL) operation. With the headlamp switch in the OFF position, activating automatic lamp control (ALC), the front turn signal lamps will be turned ON after a 30-second delay under daylight conditions, which is determined by the ambient light sensor signal to the BCM. The DRL operates when the ignition switch is in the RUN position, the front wipers are not activated, and the transmission is not in PARK. When these conditions have been met and the ambient light sensor indicates daylight conditions, the BCM will illuminate the front turn signal lamps ON steady.
DTC B2645
Circuit Description
The body control module (BCM) monitors the daytime running lamps (DRL) ambient light sensor signal circuit in order to determine if the DRL or the headlamps should be turned ON in the automatic lamp control (ALC) mode. When the BCM senses the ambient light sensor voltage is between 1-4.9 volts, either the DRL or the headlamps will be commanded ON.

Check for head light (daytime)relay to be bad, this might have to do with the turn signals also,if the turn signals on this car, also have running lights in them,If this relay is not bad, replace the body control module.

Daytime running lights no longer work after using handbrake.

When the parking brake is applied there is a switch that will cut off the daytime running lights, and they will not work as long as the parking brake is applied. If you have released the parking brake and they no longer work, either the switch that cuts them off is bad or the sensor for the lights is bad.

Brake lights dont work, Turn Signals all goofy

First thing i would do is chg. the break light switch, and make sure to chk. all grounds around tailights, sometimes if there is a ground problem it will travel back thru the hot wire to get a ground, witch in turn makes everything go wackey.

Fog lights out on 2001 passat.

The only way a lot of bulbs can burn out at once is overvoltage. Check your charging voltage with the car running, using a multimeter. Should be 13.8 volts; with the car off, about 12.6.

Shortage

This is normal operation. The DTRL's turn off so on coming traffic can see your directional lights blinking. Your daytime running lights are so bright it is hard to see your turn signals during the day.

Also did you know that if you press in/out your dome override switch 3 times you can turn off your daytime running lights. After you hear a "ding" your lights should be off. Do the same to turn them back on.

At night your DTRL's are your highbeams.
