That is a lot of blown fuses, start with grounds engine to batt and engine to body, then battery main to starter, i have a suspicion that when you crank the truck the voltage is being routed into the body and light circuits

1989. What is location of tail light fuse(s)?

I think its number 11 which is a 10amp.
#9 should be a 20amp for the brake and turn signal, and #8 should also be a 20amp that also goes to the headlight switch. So it could also be fuse #8.

I have no brake lights, low beams and wont shift out of park.

Sounds like a short to ground in the brake light harness. Or one of the brake light sockets.
You should never use a fuse higher than the recommended as that will allow a fire.
You may have to trace the wiring going to the back to find the short.
I would take the bulbs out first and use a 20amp circuit breaker instead of fuses until you find the short.

Fuse for brake lights keeps burning out

If at this time you haven't really damaged your truck, do this. It doesn't matter which way you go, you must check your wire for a bad SHORT. Your brake light wire is pinched,or rubbing on metal. Remove the wire, don't use 30 amp if 20 amp is correct. If you've done any work on your truck that involved wiring, look in that area. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.

1996 ford ranger..touched the negative and positive wires and blew a fuse how can we fix this and make the radio work

The base radio has two fuses in the I/P fuse block. Fuse 20 7.5 amp and fuse 29 10 amp. It will be obvious which fuse is blown when you inspect them.

The premium radio has the same fuses as the base but also has one in the engine compartment fuse block. Fuse 22 - 20amp.

I HAVE BLINKERS AND BRAKE LIGHTS NO RUNNING LIGHTS THOUGH I TRIED TO FIND A PARK LAMP FUSE BUT UNABLE TO WHAT DO YOU THINK?

The fuse should be labeled Tail Lps in the middle of the fuse block. It should be a 20 amp fuse. If it is blown, turn on the tail lights after you replace it and see if it blows again. If it does then you have a short that needs to be fixed. Usually what happens is that the wire is rubbing somewhere and has chaffed through. Alittle black tape will solve that problem. This would also apply if you get a few days of driving before it blows again. To find the problem remove the light sockets and drop them down under the truck and check them over looking for cracks or bare spots in the insulation. Tape any suspicious spots.
If the fuse is good replace the bulbs. If that doesn't work check out the ground wire.Take it off, clean it up and reattach it, making sure the chassis is bare shiny metal. It could also be the sockets themselves,or the plug-in. The plug-in is on the driver's side near the bumper.

POSSIBLE PROBLEM WITH BRAKE LIGHTS. MAY NEED TO CHANGE THE FUSE, A JAPANESE IMPORT TOYOTA ETIMA EMINA. COULD YOU TELL ME WHERE THE PARTICULAR FUSE IS. I THINK THEY ARE MAINLY UNDER THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT,...

Almost all fuse box in a vehicle is located on the left panel under the dash. It would have a plastic cover which should be esy to pop off. Sometimes it has a screw in lock. A blown fuse is usually easy to spot. If you find it, replace it with the same amp rating. brake lights usually are 15-20 amps

1998 Dodge Dakota Brake Fuse

If you have a trailer plug installed trace the wires to see if there is a bare spot or broken wire.If no plug then you need to check for bare wire or broken wire from tail lamp assemblys to where the wire plugs into main wireing harness.
