You have two unrelated problems. the power loss can be from a variety of things. What you first need to do with that is have a scan done (many parts stores do that free)...then if you have codes stored, you at least have some direction to go in with that.
The shaking is called death wobble and also has many causes. The most common are bad ball joints or tires that are worn sufficiently so as to not have enough foreward momentum to not react to side loading from bumps. The same tire can still generally pass inspection but is no longer useful on your vehicle (usually with around two thirty seconds of remaining tread measured at the wear bars). Any wear in any of the front end steering components or bushings can also cause wobble...sometimes it is a cumulative effect of slight wear in several places totaling an unacceptable amount of overall play. If you just had brake work or new tires installed, sometimes improper torquing of the wheels can also cause that. If you don't see anything obvious have an experienced jeep tech look at it. It can be dangerous and is nothing to ignore or wait on.

Thank you for the help. I have had the car scanned and it has did not show any problem. I will check out the other issues you suggested . My tires are due to be rotated.

Stalling and low performance can also be the result of a partially plugged fuel filter or a catalytic converter going bad. Neither will set a code. Your filter may be on the frame near the drivers side rear tire or on top of the fuel pump pickup assembly. A cat going bad often makes the exhaust smell strange or you can hear it wheezing on acceleration.

Hi I'm an upset owner of a 96 ZJ stalls randomly motor bogs down while driving like it stalled but then jump back up to normal. Lots of problems with my Jeep but to answer your question about the shaking when you hit a bump its the steering dampener if all else fails. My truck would shake violently if I hit a bump over 40 and when I would slow down it would stop. If thats the problem you had replace the steering dampener.

It will lack lots of power going up hill, especially if its a really steep one and you keep it in drive. Make sure you downshift to second, or fist if its really steep.

my 96 grand cherokee had the same problem with stalling minus the clock reseting part. what fixed mine was an idle air control motor it sits at the back of the throttle body on top of the motor. the part cost about 60 bucks and it hasn't stalled out on me since. i hope this helps you out.

I lose steering in my jeep when I hit a bump it shakes violently until I slow down then it stops

Sounds like a tie rod end is shot. If the Jeep is over five years old that's what I would check.
