Question about 2000 Chevrolet Impala
WHEN CAR HAS COOLED DOWN IT WILL START WITH NO PROBLEMS
, BUT IF CAR IS A LIITTLE HOT IT WON'T TURN BACK ON . WHEN IT IS RUNNING IT WON'T TURN OFF, BUT IF IT IS TURNED OFF IT WON'T TURN BACK ON UNTIL IT COOLS DOWN.
I HAVE CHANGED THE FUEL PUMP , BUT IT IS DOING THE SAME THING. I HAVE ALSO CHANGED BOTH THE CAM AND CRANK SENSORS AND THAT DID NOT HELP EITHER. PLEASE HELP ME FIND A SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM. APPARENTLY, WHEN IT GETS HOT THE CAR IS SHUTTING DOWN THE FUEL PUMP BECAUSE I CAN NOT HEAR IT WHEN IT DOES NOT TURN ON.
SO YOU SAY YOU DON'T HEAR THE FUEL PUMP WHEN IT IS HOT, I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THERE IS SPARK WHEN IT WON'T START. BECAUSE IT MAY BE THE ECM UNDER THE COIL PACK SOMETIMES THEY ACT JUST LIKE AND OLD COIL THAT GETS WARM AND WON'T START WHEN IS GETS HOT. I WOULD MAKE SURE IT NOT GETTING SPARK BEFORE CHANGING THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE BUT IT SURE SOUNDS LIKE THAT TO ME. I SURE HOPE THAT HELP YOU OUT AND IF IT DON'T LET ME KNOW HERE AND WE CAN DO SOMEMORE TROUBLE SHOOTING, OK THANKS BEAR001
