SOURCE: NEW CLUTCH SLIPPING ON 2004 V6 HOLDEN RODEO

did you bleed the hydralic clutch system on this vehicle? = air in system or not bleed properly.
most of the flywheels for this model were not to be machined...... however it is ok to machine these only slightly but you must machine the surface the clutch plate contacts with the same amount as the outer raised section the pressure plate bolts to.
new flywheels have painted stamped writing saying do not machine...so if hydralic system is ok find out about flywheel.
also may pay to check clamping force of pressure plate most clutch places can do this or some workshops that is if fingers on pressure plate are all at the same height, not broken or cracked..

SOURCE: require info on tensioning serpentine

The serpentine belt is tensioned by an automatic spring loaded pulley, it is a pulley with an arm that moves when the engine is running. Make sure the belt is run over the pulleys correctly according to the routing diagram under the hood, if it seems loose and the automatic tensioner is not defective, also verify you have the correct belt number.

Tensioning timing belt

Timing belts usually have an automatic (spring Loaded) adjuster. Usual replacement is done at 100,000 k or 60,000 miles. If you do not replace it you run the risk of it breaking which could do damage to the engine. refer to your owners manual.

What could aSwooshing noise from engine area be?

All most sure to be a belt. spray some WD40 or similar on to the belts one at a time ,if it stops you may have to change it. Has the timing belt been changed and tension been checked , if not and it sounds at the engine front, that could be it.

Isuzu engine 4jh1 3.0 l diesel timing marks

Rodeo with a diesel , non turbo?
this is usa forum with usa book, is your a USA car?
seems not.
now year stated, is this a test. 1991 to 2004 , wow.
im not going to look up all years for you and see if they vary.
why would we....?
cam timing, or pump timing.
we must guess that too?>??????????????????

point finger to something and say, this thing,,,,

here is the wiki blurb on 4jh1
The 4JH1-T is a 3.0 L OHV direct injection engine, turbo intercooled which replaced the 4JB1T in the Faster/Rodeo pickups. This vehicle was sold as the Holden Rodeo in New Zealand and Australia. On some models it features an electronically controlled injection pump. Stock power was 120 hp (88 kW) and 245 N·m.

why ask USA gringos about non USA cars.
and for sure not telling your country, that be bad.

see the word, electronically there.
we cant guess that , either.

How many litres of fluid will fill a 1991 holden rodeo transmission?

General advice:Relative
Manual transmission back dif 1,5-2l,front (gear box)3-3,5
Automatic:Over 4l.
Yet,u need to confirm with the dipstick (the one availabile or a rigid wire used as deepstick)
U may take note of what comes out before replacing.
Some transmission need to start the engine and run the trans then ceck level again.
I know is a general advice,but u must treat the cars as a innumerous marks/models and deal fine without factory specs.If not,u need owner manual,dealers visit,shop info,etc.
Cheers let others know if u done it.

Motor is burning oill

answer 1-Sorry but this could be horrible news engine wise, one of your piston rings might be broken.Probably the bottom one that scrapes oil back down as the piston goes to bottom dead center.
To fix would mean an engine rebuild. You said "burning" other wise your using to thin of an oil.

Answer 2-Your car may have a short somewhere, like mine did. My car wouldn't start in 4th but while driving i would lose a bit of power and i would be stuck in 4th till i turned it off for a while.

hope this helps
