Need a diagram for replacing heater core on 1969 f-250 defrost heater

You have an easy one. Follow the heater hose to the firewall. Remove them. remove the bolts holding the core in place and pull out the core. Reinstall. Newer ones, you have to remove the entire dash.

1994 F-250 Heater Core

Answer for a 1995 F250:

Remove the glove-box door. Behind that is the heater core cover on the interior, passenger side of the firewall. Remove that cover and there is the heater core. Open the hood and look where the heater hoses enter the front right passenger area of the exterior side of the firewall. Disconnect the two heater hose clamps and you can then remove the heater core.

Where do the heater core hoses attach to engine on an 1988 f-250 with air

If it is necessary to remove the heater assembly, the cooling system must be drained before removing the heater core.
When a heater core leaks, a new heater core is installed or the old one repaired.
Heater Housing
  • The heater housing is usually under the dash and must be removed to gain access to the heater core.
  • Procedures for replacing the heater core vary with the year, make, and model of car. It threfore necessary to consult the manufacturer's repair manuals for the proper procedure for replacement.
f74-01.gif The heater housing is disassembled to get to the heater core. Heater Core
  • Remove the access panels(s) or the split heater/air conditioning case to gain acess to the heater core.
  • Remove the heater coolant hoses.
  • Remove the cable and/or vacuum control lines (if equipped).
  • Remove the heater core securing brackets and/or clamps.
  • Lift the core from the case. Do not use force. Take care not to damage the fins of the heater core when removing.
  • To reinstall the heater core, reverse the removal steps.
When the heater core leaks and must be repaired or replaced, it is a very difficult and time-consuming job primarily because of the core's location deep within the firewall of the car. For this reason always leak test a replacement heater core before installation.

How do i change the heater core on a 1987 ford ranger v6 2.9 liter..from the inside or outside under the hood

you are going to drain and loosen the heater hoses from under the hood, the rest is inside. get yourself a repair manual cheap on ebay. you are lucky in that you have no passenger airbag and most likely you can do this yourself.

No heat, already replaced thermostat

Check for heat at the heater core at the 2 hoses at the firewall.
If they are hot and the inside doesn't get warm or hot, then there is a blend door problem.
Otherwise, if the heater core isn't getting hot, there is a restruction or clog in the heater core.
The heater core will have to be flushed out or replaced.

How to install the heater coil in my f-250 truck?

we call this a heater core, and here is how it is replaced. No need to drain the cooling system, just undo the heater core hoses at the firewall under the hood then pull glove box inset, undo bolts for access cover that is over heater core behind the glove box insert, remove cover, remove old core, put new core in, reinstall cover, reinstall glove box, done. I did these in 45 minutes at the Ford dealer I worked at.
