Question about Chevrolet TrailBlazer

2 Answers

I have a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer with about 80,000 miles on it, for the past month or so the vehicle strains almost every time I go to start it. It never fails to start although it always takes at least a second or two for the motor to turn properly and fire up. At times the clock will reset on the stereo. Thanks in advance for any help.

You have a bad ground connection, or the postive cable going to the starter is corroded. Or it could be that you have a bad Starter, and it need's to be rebuilt.

Idles rough some of the time when it has been running for a while. Volt gauge goes down like its going to stall. Doesn't do it all the time. Mainly when air conditioning is on. 2006 trailblazer with...

The throttle body needs to be cleaned, grime in this area prevents the throttle plate from closing completely and allowing air to enter, making the air/fuel mixture lean. Make sure to clean the front and back sides of the throttle body. Also, disconnect the battery during the cleaning process to allow the computer to reset and relearn to the cleaned throttle body.

I have a 2000 chevrolet monte carlo and the check engine light is on. When I had it scanned, they said something about an Emission control module? What is this?

The Emissions Control Unit (ECU) is the brain or computer of the emissions system in your vehicle. It takes in data from all the sensors on the vehicle and uses this data to set the fuel/air mixture, timing, and everything else related to emissions. This is a major component of the system and as such it is coved by a 8 year 80,000 mile federal mandated warranty. So if you have less than 80,000 miles on this car take it back to a Chevy dealer for replacement of the ECU free of charge. This is assuming the ECU is actually defective. I suggest you let your Chevy dealer handle this repair. It takes the proper tools, skill, and knowledge to diagnose an emissions problem.

2008 Trailblazer Engine Stalls and Dies.

This vehicle is under warranty including towing. There is probably a malfunction within the fuel delivery or ignition system of the vehicle. Sometimes electronic items break down hot, then start working again once cooled.I would let GM take care of this matter under factory warranty

Code# P2716 pressure control solenoid on Corolla 2006

I would recommend you do NOT attempt any repairs here. Your vehicle has 3 warranties, 3year/36,000 mile bumper to bumper, 5year/60,000 mile warranty and a 96 month/80,000 mile emission warranty.

This is a know issue with your car. THere is a service bulletin (TC015-07) that is to correct this condition and is a covered repair under the federal emission warranty. You need to bring your car to the Toyota Dealership to be repaired.

Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help.

2002 Chevy Trailblazer with low oil pressure, our dealership says we need to replace the engine and they want to stick a rebuilt one in it for $3,000.00 with 80,000 miles on it. We can't afford that and...

Have you got a secound opinion on your problem? Other than a dealer. You may get away with just a new oil pump, and new rod and main bearings witch is a lot cheaper than a replacement engine, and may be done without pulling the engine.

Check engine light in 2006 Toyota Corrolla..code P2716. Do you think this condition is under warranty?

P-2716 refers to a harsh shift, and the issue is in the logic of the ECU. It is a known issue with Toyota. This repair is covered for 96 months or 80,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Take your vehicle to a Toyota dealer, and have them perform the repairs outlined in Technical Service Bulletin TC015-07. They will replace the ECU if you vehicle has less than the time & mileage as described above.
