You didn't specify which engine it has.
2.7-10w30
3.5-10w30
5.7-5w20
6.1-0w40

Synthetics will always give you the best protection, but Chrysler does not require the use.

Whats the oil for 08 dodge magnum

100% Synthetic 0W-20 or XL 5W-20

Vehicles with the 5.7L Multiple Displacement System
(MDS) must use SAE 5W-20 oil. Failure to do so may
result in improper operation of the MDS.

Change oil

There's several answers to that question. The "best" oil is what the manufacturer recommends in the owner's manual. You can also make that decision based on several things including the type of driving you do, the temperature you most operate in, and personal preference. I have found that over the years simply using the recommended weight provides the best resutls.

Some folks use synthetic oil because they feel they get better performance. Personally I don't use synthetic oil in a car that didn't come from the factory with it. I've run several cars well over 200,000 miles by following the owner's manual without a hint of trouble.

2006 magnum oil light

This could mean a lot of things, but first replace the oil sending unit and see if that don`t do the trick,If not cam bearings most likely,or trash on the oil pump screen.Have you changed the oil?Lately?Try that along with oil sending unit replacement. Also if the last time you changed the oil, what weight oil did you use?5w/20 I think is the correct visscosity oil to use,no more than 5w30.

2008 magnum, has been in an accident and the seat belts are locked

Not 100% sure but a lot of dodge products have electric seatbelts that won't pull out without battery voltage. Check the underhood fuse box of a fuse marked seatbelts to see if it blown. Check your owners manual in the seatbelt section.

Normal Maintenance

I would change the oil to a premium synthetic such as Mobil 1 or Castrol. The oil weight should be what your owner's manual recommends. If you do have the owner's manual normal maintenance should be listed, otherwise do a search on the Internet. Using a good synthetic oil allows you to change oil and filter less frequently, say 5 to 10K miles. I change mine once per year unless I've done lots of city, stop and go driving. Nice car, glad you want to take care of it!
