Tranny slips occasional on up shift. clunks on 4-3-2-1 downshifts


If your TT is quattro it is DSG, if it is FWD then it is Tiptronic.. A battery change usually requires a trip to the dealer to hook up the scan tool and program the TCU for the transmission...
And yes a lower voltage can affect the sensitive electronics in this car..

Tiptronic automatic gear box


At the bottom of the automatic gearbox (tiptronic) you will find 2 threaded plugs on below surface. First (in front of the car) is for emptying, and second is for filling up. Tightening torque is 24 Nm. Please Rate my Response! Thanks!

Multi-Function Transmission Range Switch


rather odd thing to try while i'm looking for a price .... but i've read that a method to reset that is to start it ... hold the gas pedal down abit and shut off the key will holding down the gas pedal.... hold that you should hear some clicking... that should reset it

it's been suggested that either water or rusty pins can be the cause of it.

Audi a4 2.8 30v 1998 ack engine


It is mounted to the transmission bellhousing on the driver's side. The connector is mounted on the firewall and is a smaller, gray connector. You can reach the sensor from underneath.
