Question about 2006 Hyundai Accent

1 Answer

I bought a new hyundai accent back in 2006, after 2 years the dealer replaced a faulty starter motor, that is now ok,about 18 months ago one of the coils broke down, that was replaced, about 6 months later another one broke, that was replaced, about two months ago another two broke, they was replaced, a couple of days ago the car started missing again, so it is now back in the hands of the dealer for another probable coil brakedown & replacment.it has been surggested the cause is a damaged harness during manufacture...what do you think...regards Jack.

maybe the regulator is broke allowing excess voltage. Check voltage at battery with car running. Should be no more than 15 volts.

Hyundia are the best car in the world. Sorry, but they are getting better. I haven't heard of a harness issue. anyway the coils have the ground in common, but the hot wires are separate. probably got there coil packs from china( junk). And I have seen coil packs break down one after the other on different models. Hopefully the dealer is using a better grade of coils. You might even ask them to go ahead and replace the rest of them, seeing there is an issue there. You just never know.

Why is my Hyundai Accent 2006 cvvt battling to idle after cambelt broke. Was replaced with valves ect. Currently driving without airflow sencor being plugged in. Wouldn`t idle with it plugged in?

I would suggest a compression test to ensure that all the damaged valves were replaced. Replace the MAF sensor as it appears that it is faulty

2001 Accent starter doesn't crank when engine hot. New battery, new starter. I have to wait 10-15 min and there is no problem???

The problem is usually the crank sensor that is faulty. Run the vehicle till its hot, when the motor does not want to crank, remove sensor pore water on the sensor to cool down, refit sensor. If vehicle starts, purchase new crank sensor.

High-low beams not working

Check for headlight relay and fuse. Some cars have separate circuits for head light flasher and normal high/low beam. From your description, I would suspect a bad connection to/from relay or relay itself.
