This year of Chevy truck had problems with burnt fuel pump connectors caused by defective fuel pumps drawing excessive current as they aged. What needs to be done here is to drop the fuel tank out and replace the fuel pump module inside the tank and replace the fuel pump harness connector at the tank connection, both parts are sold at a very good price by a company called "Airtex" as well as many other brands, I have found Airtex to be the best quality of the aftermarket fuel pumps, the factory part is over $350.00

1996 honda accord rough idle and dies

Do the following

Here are the most common causes of idle surge, stalls at stops, slow idle speed, erratic idle speed, rough idle and engine hesitation (and other problems), it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake

I have a 1995 chevy blazer that wont start by cranking it will start if you spray gas into intake was starting before bleeding the air out of fuel rails

sounds like your fuel pump is dead or you still have air in the system

however, even if you had air in the system, it purges itself when you try to start

therefore, a weak fuel pump cannot overcome the air block and your car won't start

however, you did not specify if the vehicle will stay running once started on carb cleaner

if the vehicle starts and stays running with the carb cleaner then you are probably dealing with a defective fuel pressure regulator

My 2002 avalanche wont stay running and idles very rough when it does start, service engine light came on.

I would start by seeing what the fuel pressure is, the vortech motors require 60-65# . If you don't have access to a fuel pressure gage you may be able to determine if it's getting enough fuel by spraying carb cleaner into the intake. Try to keep the truck running by shooting short blasts of the carb. cleaner into the intake. If you can keep it running you have either a weak fuel pump or clogged fuel filter.

Will not stay running when cold

this is caused by a sludged up idle speed control valve, here is what u do to clean it.
Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.

Car back fires in the engine and wont stay running after a few tries it will but stalls then turn key and runs ok untill its cold again?anyone have a clue??? plugs have been changed and check engine light...

Most probably the vac is leaked. Spray some carb cleaner at the intake (while the engine is running) and see if the sound changes after addinh the carb cleaner. If it still misfires add some more carb cleaner to clean the nozzles of the MPFI system. it should help.......sodeep
