Question about 1995 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class
Hello, I see you have not been served so I will try to help you. There are two things I would like you to try.
1. Your car like all others has an amount of flex in the frame to body region. Usually there are rubber Isolators which the body is laying on. You can try jacking the frame on the right rear edge.
You do not need to lift the right rear tire. This may shift the body enough so you can release your lock.
2. Use a hair dryer on the hardtop latch assembly. The heat may give you enough clearance to release the lid.
3. Check your gaskets to see if they came out of their groove and doubled up on you. Once you remove your top this will be possible.
4. If these procedures have not helped you may be able to relatch the front mounts and see if this will free up the right rear. Leave the left rear unlatched.
