Go to the dealer and get a resistor block for the blower motor. This is what regulates the speeds;when they start to burn out you will find yourself with only the high setting. This is because high is a direct 12 volt feed. While at the dealer have them show you the exact location,it will be under the dash on the passenger side. Its a simple job to do ,usually two screws hold it in,but watch your back its a tight fit under there! Good luck

I have a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire. My fan stopped producing air (hot and cold altogether) - from the lowest setting to highest setting does not work.

sounds like a the heater/ blower fan relay went bad. Unless you're mechanically-inclined you'll need a mechanic to install the replacement.

Do a Google search for the relay or blower motor and/or search for a Chevy Cavalier (same car) forum to find a fix - if you want to tackle it yourself.

The heater fan stopped working and I want to know how to get to it is it under the hood or under the dash for a 1994 chevy cavalier

The blower motor is located under the hood in the engine compartment on the rightside on the firewall, also check the blower resistor this goes bad often and it will also stop the fan from working, test the blower, hook it to power and a ground if it turns on then its the resistor. hope this helps.

HVAC airflow dial only works on high setting

the relay may be fine, it could be a resistor pack that is bad (if it's like what happened with my 2001 Cav [low and med1 did nothing, but med2 and high worked fine] there's a little modular board in the blower fan housing wedged at the front of the passenger side floor (waaaay up there) you'll probably have to pull the blower motor out to get to it, it's not a difficult thing to do yourself, but it's in an awkward position -- the cost (again if it's the same as for a 01) was ~$35+shipping online, and $65 from a local parts store (probably best to call to ensure prices)

1998 Chevy Cavalier z24 heating/AC fan only runs on the lowest speed, how may I get it work on the other 2 speeds?

Replace the blower motor resistor. It is next to the blower motor.Should be on the passengers side under the dash panel.Good luck.

Starter replacement......needs to know how many cylinders my cars has

The starter has no cylinders. it is an electric motor powered from the battery and ignition system.
The chevy cavalier has a 4 cylinder engine though.

2002 chevy cavalier ac fan does not work on high, only on bi level

Most probable cause is a bad BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR (BMR). This part is located underneath the right side of the dash mounted into the blower motor housing. The BMR has a circuit board that is suseptible to corrosion and moisture damage because it is in an enclosed area with much condensation. After replacing it a couple of times, the 3rd time I dipped the circuit board in TOOL DIP - the stuff you rubber coat screw drivers with - have not had a problem since (3 years).

Engine Swap

There are several engines that will fit the 2.2l Ecotec, 2.4L high out put motor, and I have actually seen a chevy cavalier that has a 3800 V6 in it if you want to go all out but in most cases sticking with the ecotec motor or the 2.4 High Out Put motor would be best they are two of the best motors for these cars and since the Sunfire is basically the same car as the cavalier almost any thing motor wise is inner change able between cars depending on the motors i own an 2004 chevy cavalier LS sport and a buddy of myn has a 2004 Pontiac Sunfire and both have the 2.2L Ecotec and are both Manual trans and even most of the interior parts are the same except for some of the dash board components hope this helps you out
