Question about 2005 Ford Focus

I own a 2004 ford fesita 1.25 and a 2005 ford mondeo 1.8 zetec and a 2005 ford focus 1.6 16v zetec (old shape) and i was wondering at what stage the timing belts should be changed?

Ford say the same old get out ****,"when signs of wear apparent....."CHANGE IT AT 80K MAX with the tensioner.

    does that apply for all three cars? also do any of the above models have timing chain instead of a belt and if so do they even need to be changed?

    they are all belts,sorry.BUT with a haynes manual and the right toolkit YOU can do it yourself.t

Water in passenger footwell of ford mondeo zetec 2001.


I had the same problem. Take note of black plastic trim piece that runs along the bottom of the windshield. On the passenger side there is a pan type attachment to this piece of trim; it can become detached from the trim. In this case it needs to be positioned under the lower lip of the windshield.
