My tail lights do not go on with my headlights. My turn signal lights, reverse lights and brake signals work.

Nope. No luck. Not on when parking lights on, not even a flicker. Headlights work fine.Parking lights fine. Turn signals fine. Brake lights fine. Flicked switch from off to parking to headlights a few times and had someone check to see if any flickers... I wish it was indeed that simple. Thanks so much for your advice!

Which switch? I need a lttle more detail on that. I really appreciate your answr, tho. I checked bulbs and fuses. All seem ok.

The headlight switch. Try switching it back and forth between park lights and headlights and see if they come on. If you can get them to flicker on or stay on in a different switch position then the switch is faulty and needs replaced.

What year is your car? If it uses an 1157 or similar dual filament bulb the low watt filament may be burned out since they get the most usage. If that's not it maybe I can find a obscure relay or something on the wiring diagram.

SOURCE: Left Tail Light not coming on

Sounds like one of two possibilites, the light itself may be a double filiament meaning there is one bulb which does both tail light and brake. One of the filiaments in the bulb could be burned out, try changing the bulb. If not that, then the realy might be damaged which gives power to the tail light. It's a bit of a bigger problem to diagnose.

SOURCE: tail lights and brake lights not working with headlights on

We had the same problem with ours, that is a Saturn recall items. Check with your Saturn dealer to see if it is still in effect. It use to make our headlight switch get hot. I think it was a poor ground in the taillight housing, I use to wiggle the bulb plug-ins and that helped for a while, but after the recall was fixed it never did it again.

SOURCE: Brake lights dont work, Turn Signals all goofy

First thing i would do is chg. the break light switch, and make sure to chk. all grounds around tailights, sometimes if there is a ground problem it will travel back thru the hot wire to get a ground, witch in turn makes everything go wackey.

SOURCE: Headlights don't work.

There is a circuit breaker inside the headlight switch body. It gets weak over time and use. The breaker is actually mentioned in the owners manual. A new switch is about $75.00 at the local parts store. You must remove the front of the dash to change the switch. Mine would go off and then in about 30 seconds reset and the lights would come back on. I would be driving down the road with my headlights flashing as the circuit breaker opened and closed. New switch = problem fixed.

Dash and tail lights not workjng brake and turn signal on passanger side not working

The dash and tail lights are on two different circuits, and the brake and turn signals are on different circuits, so at least 4 circuits total.
I would start at the headlight switch and check for power on the first two issues.

I have a 1977 Ford E-150, when I turn on the headlights I have no turn signal lights and no brake lights. With the headlights off the turn signals work fine and the brake lights are fine. My idea is brake...

Well, the headlight switch would have no connection to the brake and turn signals. But you could have a ground problem somewhere.
I would want to trace the circuit from the brake switch to the tail lamps with the headlights on to verify.
And does it matter if you are using headlights or just parking lights.

I have 89 bronco 2 my brake lights turn signals both work my tail lights don't work have check fuse n blubs what might be the problem

The turn signals and brake lights use the same circuit and filament in the bulbs. The tail lights are on the other circuit which comes from the headlight switch.
Do you have power on the tail light fuse ?

1993 chevy silverado parking lamps go of when i turn on headlights, signal lights flicker when i press on brake.

Yes I would look for a ground circuit problem. I would look at the ground wires for the headlights first. Even run a new ground wire for the tail lights to see if it helps.
Could be a ground connection for the body to frame or body to battery.

My reverse lights and brake lights dont work on my 97 c1500. the signal work and when i turn on my headlights the tail lights come on but still no brake or reverse lights

It sounds like you have two separate switch problems, brake light switch located at the top of the brake pedal arm, loose or broke, and the back-up light switch located on transmission or linkage depending on transmission type. When asking questions always give as much info as possible.

Same issue. Side brake lights out but center works.

try replacing the turn signal switch, as the brake/tail lights are all routed thorough it. common problem with most 90's GM cars. this may help, but I've never seen only the third light work. sounds more like wiring has been tapped into incorrectly. good luck

Try checking the headlight switch it may have broken contacts in it. Easy fix go to a salvage yard find same make and model truck, swap headlight switches.
