Question about 2001 Isuzu Rodeo
Ok...I have a 2001 V6 Isuzu Rodeo that, as of recently, has started acting up. Basically.. first thing in the morning (and i live in Ga, so it's not cold) when I crank it up and back out of my driveway, it akes about 5-10 seconds to kick into drive. Once it finally does hit drive I can hit the gas and there is what feels like a vibration in the rear axle. This only happens when I first start off from any stop. (not if I nail the gas while already going). Also, when I make a right turn....not a left....the car seems to kick out of gear for a second...then kicks back in. I first thought it was my rear axle...when it was just the vibration, then thought it could have been brakes sticking. Once the transmission started slipping and taking forever to go into drive ..I figured it was possibly low on transmission fluid However, there is no top-side tranny dipstick on a 1997-2002 Isuzu Rodeo. I've been to a transmission shop and told that they don't think the vibration is the tranny fluid..but perhaps the slippage is. Any ideas or solutions? Thanks for any help.
Try checking the fluid level in the gearbox, rodeo dont have a dipstick so u have to undo the plug on the side of the gearbox just like a manual gearbox.if the oil is really low i suggest doing a full service on the gearbox, change the oil and filter is ideal for better results.
