Question about 2007 Chrysler 300c AWD Sedan New Cars
Volume control doesn't work. No sound but I can change from FM/AM/SAT or change channels. When you adjust the volume up or down I don't see the volume level being displayed on the LCD. I've tried turning the system on and off. When I go to the main menu the "Audio Adjustment" menu item is grayed out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Randy. It sounds like a bad connection at the back of the control head (Chrysler talk for the actual cd/radio, sat nav)
If you have the courage to gently remove the silver plastic surround with a blunt knife by prising it away from the dash ( this process is on the net with good photos) you will observe the 4 screws that hold the control head in position. I would unscrew them to get to the back of the unit and remove the 20-40 pin connector then push it home again a couple of times. You could spray a little Servicol electronic contact cleaner onto the connections. Be careful replacing the silver plastic surround as it is designed to break

You need to install a better quality brake shoes/pads. I have a van that did the same thing and after installing better shoes all was fine. If you have a shop do the work you mustspecify that you need high quality pads and or shoes installed. Many shops will install the cheapest ones..

Yes there is an upgrade disc. You can either get one from your dealer or from http://www.navteq.com/
Navteq has the one for your car for $199. Dealer is probably about the same.

With out being able to see it sounds like you have a misadjusted or broken park lock cable. there is a cable that locks shifter in park unless Brake pedal is depressed. So if you are pressing the brake and can not shift into a gear. that would be the first place I would check
