Check the fuel filter the fuel pump and the return lines to the tank. A clog in anyone of these parts will cause a zero pressure condition in the fuel system

Why is my 2003 Jeep Liberty- Starter turning, but eng won't start (intermittent problem)?

you didnt stated the symptoms correctly

it either cranks or it does not.
that means the starter ACTUALLY turns the cranks shaft over
robustly.
the crank shaft damper pulley is the clue to this , it turns or not.
if it always turns this is a :
cranks ok but wont start.
so, that means tune up the engine,
1: low battery voltage (slow cranks)
2: never tuned up this decade?.
3: bad fuel.
4: weak spark at any of the spark plugs, sure all must be good.
5: flooding, (wet spark tips)
6: fuel starvation.
7: any of 50 other engine mech. issues,(burned valves, is 1)

89 mitsubishi carby model has spark and pumps fuel to carby but the spark plugs are dry just keeps cranking but wont even try to fire also has good comp, was driving till water pump blew now just wont fire...

Check that the fuel pump is working and pumping fuel (fuse or burnt out) as it sounds like there is no fuel in the carby. To check if the engine is going to run remove the air filter from the top of the carby and pour about a table spoon of fuel directly into the carby throat. Replace the air filter and crank the engine. If is going to run it will fire and then stop

Truck wont start engine turns but wont fire

If the trucks turns over and does not seem like the battery is dead I would assume it is spark or fuel. Check spark plugs to make sure they spark. Pull one plug at a time hold it against side of engine and have someone turn the truck over for you. You should see bright spark from all spark plugs. If you do see spark then check your Fuel Pump to make sure it is getting power and is opperating correctly also check your fuel filter to make sure it is not plugged. Good luck, Hope this helps.

94 chevy s10 4.3 engine wont start but it will turn over has fuel pressure and when you spray a little gas in the intake it cranks up but then stops

fuel starvation ie blocked filter /blocked pipe / as no fuel is reaching the cylinders
BUT FUEL IN INTACE AND STARTS BUT WONT RUN THIS IS BECAUSE THE FUEL BURNS AND STARTS THE ENGINE THEN STALLS AS NO FUEL CHECK ALL FUEL FILTERS AND FUEL LINE FIRST CHEAPEST OPTION

My shogun sport will judder every so often when travelling just had new block but runs as though fuel starvation every so often new fuel filter fitted could it be the injectors need cleaning thanks.

Fuel injectors should not need cleaning because gas is so clean already these days.My tips about gas has some good info about that.Fuel starvation usually results in backfire. Are you getting that?I would think about the fuel pump.First I would inspect the spark plugs to ensure good spark. If you pull off a plug,it should look a little oily around/near the threads. If they look kind of dry and a rusty type color,it needs replacing.Be careful removing the plug wires,I always get one stuck on the plug and break off the contacter.Hold the plug against the engine block away from the hole and have someone turn over to start real quick. You should see spark. If not at first, try once or twice more.If those check fine,I would think about the fuel pump. You can also call a shop to get a free opinion. If 1 doesn't,hang up and try another.Someone is always willing to give a free opinion to attract business.I do it when necessary.Good luck! 97 1/2 ton 4x4 chevy wont start

first thing to do is after trying to start engine, remove a plug, see if its wet or dry. if dry, no fuel getting there, if wet, ignition problem, then we willl take it from there

Changed distributor cap and now van wont start did not have firing order . we now have correct firing order. van was possibly flooded from checking firing order. now carborator is smoking and engine wont...

I would pull the plugs and let the gas into the cylinders to dry out , you may have a hydrolock engine after putting so much gas into it , recheck the firing order to be sure is OK ususlly when you see a carb backfiring and smoking the firing order is not right
