Question about 2002 Volkswagen Passat
I would first go back to the mechanic that did the work and complain that you spent $1500.00 to fix a problem and it was not corrected. If he is a reputable mechanic he will fix the problem at no cost to you, as he probably did not do all of his home work to find out what the problem was that blew your convertor. when a car is running correctly, a convertor will last the life of the car. Also I wouldn't drive this car to much before it is fixed, You stand a chance of burning out another convertor
