Have an auto electrician CHECK ur HARGiNG system! Either ur battery got problem or the alternator! Alternator should have 13 to 14 volts output while running! Taah!

I suggest that you take the starter motor to an accredited auto electrician as it indicates a dry joint problem in the armature bars
the fix is
the bars can be re-soldered
or My preference -- a new armature

How do I replace the altenator belt on a 1996 Nissan Maxima?

Just loosen up the BOLT in the alternator, the one that holds the bracket, and u can move/slide the ALTERNATOR assembly. If the A/C compressor belt is blocking the removal of belt, loosen up the compressor and slide it to free up the belt! Now u could replace the alternator belt!
Installing will be easier!

1995 Nissan Maxima, 103,000 miles. Only starts in the cold

Looks like you're not alone. Doing some research and it would appear to be a common problem. It's a process of elimination:
  • Change fuel filter; a bad fuel filter will produce the symptoms you're experiencing
  • if the fuel filter doesn't cure your problem (i think it will) you may have a clogged fuel injector; this is less likely than the fuel filter but still possible. There are some good fuel system cleaners out there that work pretty well
I hope this helps you out and best of luck to you!

If you installed a stero system make sure the amp is not on all the time. Other than that try testing the starter and components.
