Headlights not working.

The low beams on my astro do not work. The high beams do. So I am looking for some answers or ideas as to what can be wrong. The daytime running lights do work.

Okay, I checked the relay switch and it works fine. I also checked the fuses and the lights. I just haven't tried the headlight switch. The high/low switch works fine.

I tried to put different bulbs in, but that did nothing. I appreciate all the tips given. Thank you!

It turned out to be the multifunction switch! Now it works, thank the Lord. I didn't have any junkyards near here so I had to buy it new. The dealer's price was $385. I got it from a local auto parts supply store for $254.

The head light switch is a good place to start. and also the high low switch. Hope that helps you out. If not get back we can do some more trouble shooting OK Thanks Bear001
. There is also a relay for them under the hood in a relay fuse box you can check them to if your switch is ok .

    Hello Icmc

I see you have tried everything but the switch In My Opinion It is more than likely the Switch. Can you get one from a junkyard or someone? May be they have one you can try, And see if it solves your Problem. Just trying to save you some cash. I hope that works I am sure it will, But if It don't get back to me I'll see what I can do to help you out, I am sure there is a few more tricks we can try out if that switch does not solve it. Ok thanks bear001

Other possibilities are; the bulbs themselves, burnt or corroded bulb sockets, or a bad headlight selector switch.

High and low beam headlights went out. both bulbs are new and work. it also has power going to it. all fuses are good. what is wrong?

There are 2 fuse locations, one on the drivers door side of the dashboard when you open the door and another under the hood. After you are sure it is not the fuse, swap out the headlight relay.

Hope this helps.

Headlights wont work

Fuse 22 and fuse 23 are left and right low beam headlamp fuses located in the PDC. 23 and 24 are high beam fuses. There is also a low beam and a high beam relay in PDC as well. If no headlights work I would check for main switch or multifuction switch (wiper/high beam) since each light has its own fuse and relay.

Low beams don't work

there is two things that could be wrong .. check under the hood for your power distribution box .. its black and 3 inches wide and about 8 inches long .. this contains your relays. and some fuses. on the inside of the lid it tells which one is which.. look for low beam relay .. if it is ok check your low beam bulbs and make sure they arent burnt out.. these two things should fix your problem .. or at least one of these should .. holler if you need more.
