If it does not have a hole on the roof put there by someone with a hole in their head, I would buy a new door gasket at the dealer. Most likely leaking at the top, and take a look at the door hinge pins also for snug fit all around. If it has a hole in the roof, then you are just going to have to buy some aquarium sealer and rub it around all the cracks and seals in the moon/sun roof assembly and learn to live with it.

1995 Buick LaSabre...new battery will not hold charge, draining overnight while parked. Also, water pools up on driver side passenger floorboard while parked. Related problems? I miss driving it!

Water pooling up is not a related issue. As a matter of fact i would think that you have a seal problem if there is water in the back seat.
The car sounds like it has a short somewhere that discharges the battery back to ground. Possibly caused by the insulation rubbing off of a wire and then touching the frame or by a instrument such as the starter having a short and discharging your battery through its own short to ground. I would take it to a shop if you do not have lots of time on your hands because it may take awhile to find the solution.

I have a water leak on the left side of my Volvo 1985 760 Turbo

I had this same problem on a '92. Get the carpet out even if you have to cut it out and dry the car with a space heater or blow dryer. Cover with a canvas to keep water out. Get under the car and look for holes in the floor or firewall allowing rainwater in. You may need to do as I did and remove the hood, left front fender, wipers, and louvered wiper panel, to look for holes. Use a garden hose to find leak. I found 3 rust holes in the firewall, using a strong flashlight and mirror to see hidden areas. I patched with metal patches, silicone, and roofing tar.

Water collects on floor behind driver's seat

Most likely the sunroof drains are clogged. It happened to mine, the floormats and floors were soaked, especially behind the drivers side. Volvo wanted to charge me $550 to clear them out and dry out the floors. Instead I took it home, rolled down the windows, parked it in the sun and let it dry out. Then I found a mechanic who blew out the drains with compressed air for only $20. He had originally quoted me $50-100, but ended up doing it for less. He said the two back drains are clogged. You can try sticking a small flexible wire down the front two yourself, then pour water down to see if it drains properly out the bottom of the car. When I looked I didn't see the two back sunroof drains, but my mechanic said they were clogged with leaves, you might be able to clear these yourself too. I would have never guessed that it was the sunroof causing this, because you don't see the water leak around the sunroof, you only see the water backing up on the floor. Don't take it to the dealership, it's a simple job and they will rip you off.

Pool of water in footwell behind drivers seat.

Is the water only in footwell behind driver seat? If yes, then have you checked the weather stripping around rear door (assuming that it is 4 doors)? My brother had the same problem, and behold it was the stripping around the door. If you find that is the cause, standard household weather stripping added to door frame will work well.

I have a 1998 porsche boxter, when it rains the drivers side carpet gets wet, how can this be fixed?

if you are getting it under your seats and on your back wall behind the seats.it is most likely coming from your rear drains that let the rain out of your storage compartment for your top. put your top in half open position. look for 2 dain holes easily visible from each side. pour water in them and see if they pool or drain out in front of your rear tires. if they don't, take a straight piece of wire and clean them out.hope this helps.

Water leak from passenger side. visible water flow from inside vehicle. passenger door wires coming through the body of the vehicle is the only way water comes in but i cant find where the water is getting...

I believe if you take a close look at your windshield seal at the top corner of the drivers side, you'll see a gap. Please get back to me on this ASAP. The reason for the urgency is that this water can infiltrate the padding under the driverside kick panel sound insulator causing a major short.
