Hi This sounds as though it can be easily rectified by replacing the relevent fuse, refer to your handbook to determine which one

i read that 3 times, and draw a blank, try to tell what works an dont, tottally like what your mechanics sees, he sees all.

Check the Brake peddle switch, or the turn signal switch ( all the lights go through the turn sig switch ) Or check the brake light fuse. Make sure the lights are not burned out by chance also.

Not sure why you disconnected the battery to replace plugs, but try locking and unlocking the drivers door using the key. That should re-set the security system.

you need to check wiring between lf door and body..peel back rubber boot and pull on wires..you will find 1 or more broken wires..can be repaired

check the brake switch located on a bracket under your driver side, on top of the brake pedel check for power, if power depress on your pedal see if there's nopower on the other side of the switch then replace the switch. I think it is the switch.
