You can find that info on the owner manual and also on the cap of the brake fluid reservoir.

SOURCE: brake fluid and anti freeze

DOT Type 3 or better. Look at the brake fluid cap - it will tell you there.

Anti freeze? Go to your full service auto parts store or your authorized Ford Dealer to get the proper anti freeze for your Expedition.

I have a 2000 ford expedition that goes in reverse it will shift in to all gears but wont drive fw back brakes were bad changed those and still doing samething cant figure out what problem is

if it did not move going forward before the brake repair then you have a serious transmission problem .possibly a flush will help . the cost here is around 100.00 they push out all the old fluid and dirt which cleans the filter and leaves new ATF fluid .

I have a 98 expedition and when I press on the brake pedal it almost hits the floor and the braking is scary. There doesn't seem to be any brake fluid leaking anywhere.

Sounds like there is air in the brake system and or the brakees need replacing check your brake pads if ok have the brake system bled.

I just bough a used 99 ford expedition. i just noticed there is a leak under the car in the back somewhat between the two back tires, what type of leak is this

3 types of fluids back there.

1. gear lube in the differential.
2. brake fluid in the brake lines (pedal would be sinking if brake line broke open).
3. fuel from the fuel tank (you would probably smell it).

Most likely your driveshaft seal is leaking where the driveline enters the differential. If you have more questions or need instructions, please let me know.

Can I bled the brakes on my 1998 2 wheel drive ford expedition at home. it keeps going to the floor

Hi there.
Of course you can bled the brakes but that is maybe not the problem.
The rubberseals in the maincylender might be worn and then they let the fluid through without pressure to the brakes. Bled them first......
Iceman.

2000 expedition pedal adjustment is stuck. Any ideas?

If the brake pedal makes a crunching noise, try flushing out the brake fluid. For some reason after flushing the noise goes away. I hope this helps, goodluck.

check the brake fluid level and if it is at the proper level then there is a problem with either your sensor or the brakes themselves check the pads first does the pedal shake when you press the brakes?
