Guage cluster on 2003 suburban stopped working

Assume it's a 1500. The gauges receive power from the 10A IGN E fuse in the underhood fuse block; the indicators receive power from the 10A IPC/DIC fuse. Gauge indication information is class 2 data received on a bus from the powertrain control module (PCM).

If the sending unit was connected and grounded, I would guess the gauge in the cluster is faulty.

2003 Suburban speedometer doesn't work. Is there an easy fix to this problem or will I need to take it in to an auto repair shop?

Hello, this problem is due to a failing stepper motor. The stepper motor is the motor behind the gauge that controls the movement of the needle. When a stepper motor begins to go out it will cause the gauge needle to stick, skip around, stay at zero or max out on the gauge. The only way to fix the problem is to replace the stepper motor with a new one. While replacing one motor it is best to go ahead and replace them all as the others will go out in time as well. Your cluster will have one motor for each gauge. Here's a link to a page showing exactly how to replace a GM stepper motor and where to get the correct parts to do the job!

The gauges stopped working on my chevy suburban

there is a fuse for the gauges, if you have an owners manual it will tell you exactly where it is, if not there is a fuse panel inside, either under the dash on drivers side, by the driver side kick panel, or on the side of the dash that faces the door.. and there is also a fuse/relay panel under the hood.
hope this helps.

Odomoter display and all gauges stopped working

First make sure you dont have a fuse that is broke,
then, if not a fuse; there is a recall by chevrolet on these guages. (depending on year and mileage) call your dealer to see if you qualify. If not, look for someone who can change or work on these. such as

Gagues stopped working, even the digital readout, on my 2003 Chevy Suburban The wire harness is connected properly. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

I'm going to assume you checked the fuses, and say that the display panel will have to be replaced. On these the display is all one piece, and when one gage goes out it effects the whole thing. Some of these display panels had in line fuses on the inside circuitry, so you may be able to pull the display and change the fuse. Others were built as a sealed unit and cannot be taken apart.
