Question about 1998 Ford Econoline
It is possible the Inertia switch is tripped. This is a safety switch and it should be behind the passengers kick panel or under the glovebox and mounted to the firewall inside the cab. It has a reset button that you push.
If it still does not start, your old pump may have blown the fuse in the fuse box. If you have an Owners manual you will note the location of this fuse. A free download site is at VEHICLEOWNERSMANUAL.BLOGSPOT.COM and you will need to follow instructions to download your year and make of car.
Your fuse box is under the drivers dash by the pedals.
