Question about Hyundai Excel

1 Answer

I don't have another box to tick so i have chosen this one in he hope of an answer. When I picked up my new Hyundai i30 it had over 174k's on the clock, but being a new car I didn't think that I needed to check the clock for k's?? After having my new car at home for 2 days the battery light came on on the dash & never went out, my new car has been in the Hyundai workshop for over 1 week as they try and figure out what was wrong with it. I would hope that they respect my new car & fix it appropriately. Who can I complain to regarding the extra K's on a bran new car & why would a bran new car need to be fixed if i have only had it for 3 days????? Pleas feel free to send any helpful information.

As for the extra kilo's. This is quite normal. As a vehicle comes off the assembly line i is tested which includes driving on a short test track. While delivering it may also be driven and we've had vehicles come in with 400 kilo's on the clock. Consider it as a little less kilo's you have to nurse it in the running in period. No-one is going to do anything about the kilo's. The faulty charging system is bothersome however. Fortunately it is covered under Hyundai's warranty so whatever you do dont try to fix it yourself or take it to an unoauthorised mechanic as this will negate the waranty. Only take it back to the dealer to keep the warranty intact.

My Hyundai matrix 1.6 auto has developed a noisy diff - can one foit a new diff or is it a replacement gear box required?

It's a transverse engine, so the diff will be integral with the gearbox. Have you checked the gear oil level? If it's truly gone, you could pick one up on ebay for £150/180.

My hyundai elantra keep ticking wat can i do to stop the noise

A "ticking" noise can be caused by several things. First thing to check is the oil level. When an engine is low on oil, there's a lack of lubrication and you will hear the lifters "ticking". Some cars make a "ticking" noise with the AC on. The ticking is the compressor kicking on and off.

Hyundai Coupe Fx 1996, wont start, only tick noise

Take it to a competent electrician -- it's obvious the folks at the garage don't know what they're looking at.

Valves started ticking and would'nt pick up speed and the oil light came on

I would defiantly not run the vehicle. If your oil pump went you'll be running it without oil. BAD!!!!! Take it to the dealership or garage and have the cause determined. Your valves are ticking because you have a lack of oil or an upper end problem.
